General description

Aschbach, a fraction of Algund, is a small mountain village at 1,360 meters. It is located southwest of Algund and can be reached by cable car in only 7 minutes. In a circular hike you will discover the Naturnser Alm (mountain hut) and its surroundings at 2.000 m, located below the Mount Guardia Alta at the eastern foothills of the Ortles-Cevedale Group.

Route description

The starting point of the hike is the small mountain village of Aschbach (1,340 m). From the mountain station of the cable car Aschbach you hike along the path 28 up to the panoramic mountain Vigiljoch. Now follow the path 30, which leads to the Naturnser Alm, our destination for the day. After an extensive rest on the alp we start our way back. From the Naturnser Alm, you can either follow the path 27/28 northeastwards down to Aschbach or you can decide to return to the Vigiljoch via path 30 or 9.
