Leiter Alm - Hochmut
The new viewing platform on the Hochmuth offers a panoramic view of landscape.
The fantastic location of Leiter Alm, situated in Tessa Group nature park on Merano's Alta Via, makes the chalet a popular retreat and accommodation station.
The Leiter Alm is lovingly run by the Innerhofer host family and serves tasty cuisine.
Guests can also stay in comfortable rooms.
At the Leiter Alm guests are pampered and well looked after.
First take the chairlift to Vellau (906m) and then take the gondola basket lift, the so-called nostalgia lift, on to the Leiter Alm mountain pasture (1,450m) on the Merano High Mountain Trail.
This allows you to enjoy the view in a relaxed way and reach the High Mountain Trail easily and comfortably.
Now walk along the Merano High Mountain Trail - Hans Frieden Trail No. 24 to the Gasthaus Hochmut.
Via the Adige Valley, take the MeBo expressway to the Algund exit.
Coming from Vinschgau, Algund is just before Merano.
Parking place next the chairlift station.
By train to Merano and by bus line 235 to Algund, bus stop at Mitterplars.
