San Giuseppe (St. Joseph) Parish Church
One of the Most Modern Churches in the Alps
The San Giuseppe Parish Church is one of the most beautiful and modern churches in the Alps and is a fine example of contemporary architecture. Designed by the famous architect Dr. Willy Gutweniger, the church was built from 1966 to 1971, successfully combining elements of old and new. It is recommended that visitors allow sufficient time to comprehend the hidden meanings of the church’s unique symbolism. The parish church was blessed and officially opened for worship on 13 March 1977 by the Bishop of the local dioceses at the time, Dr. Josef Gargitter. By making a reservation at the Tourist Board, visitors can enjoy free guided tours of the church every Thursday at 5pm. We look forward to welcoming you.
