Which plants are protected in Algund?

Which plants are protected in Algund?

South Tyrol's greenest garden

In Algund, nature reveals its full diversity and vibrant colours during spring and summer. Meadows and forests come to life, the landscape glows with lush green and blooming plants. Along the trails, you’ll find countless natural treasures that invite you to pause and marvel.

That’s why we feel a strong responsibility to preserve our rich and unique natural environment. Many wild plants are legally protected here, as around 27% of native plant species are already under threat. Treating nature with care and respect is a matter of course for us. Especially protected species include monkshood, arnica, most ferns, all carnations and gentians, edelweiss, blue stars, fritillaries, irises, and pasque flowers, as well as all wild orchids, crocuses, tulips, and daffodils.

Please respect nature by admiring the plants where they grow and not taking them with you.
