Getting around by bike
Algund is ideal for cycling. Whether mountain bike or e-bike, our partner “Bike and Hike” offers high-quality rentals and guided tours. The perfect way to explore the region actively and sustainably.

Bike transport on trains
Currently, bike transport on the Vinschgau railway is limited. Passenger priority applies, so bikes can only be taken on board if there’s sufficient space. We recommend alternative routes, such as a bike tour using the Aschbach cable car.

Bike Shuttle to Reschensee and Merano-Mals
From May to October, the Bikeshuttle services from Taxi Iris and Südtirolbike take you comfortably and safely to Lake Resia and other destinations:

  • Taxi Iris: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, guests are transported by coach with a bicycle trailer to Reschensee Lake.
    Reservations: +39 333 565 7464 or www.taxi-iris.com
  • Südtirolbike:In addition to Reschensee Lake, Südtirolbike takes you to nearly all popular cycling destinations in South Tyrol, including the Stelvio Pass, Ofen Pass, Sölden, and custom routes.
    Reservations: +39 331 950 4005 or www.suedtirolbike.info

  • 09:10 AM and 10:10 AM (morning)
