Clean Street Day in Algund
Together for a Clean Community
On Saturday, 20 September 2025, Algund rolled up its sleeves and took action together! During this year’s Clean Street Day, numerous volunteers from local associations, businesses, and the wider community joined forces to show their commitment to environmental awareness and civic responsibility. Under the motto “Together for a Clean Community,” streets, paths, and squares throughout the municipality were cleared of litter and waste.
More than just a day of cleaning
Equipped with gloves, tongs, and collection bags, participants set out at 9 a.m. — along walking paths, around schools, and at the village entrances. The initiative was supported by the Municipality of Algund and the Environmental Office, which provided both organization and materials.
Clean Street Day has long been more than just a day of cleaning — it stands for shared responsibility toward nature and our living environment. After the joint effort, the municipality invited all volunteers to a small refreshment as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution to a cleaner and more livable Algund.
