Sound installation at Algund Christmas Market

The children from the Algund Children's Workshop performed a sound installation at the Algund Christmas Market on Saturday, December 13th from 10-11 am. The stage featured two speakers, a mixing console, a keyboard, an accordion, and several percussion instruments. At the mixing console, curious members of the audience could mix four different sound recordings on four channels (recording 1: sounds from the Old Village; recording 2: sounds from the Algund craft zone; recordings 3 and 4: electroacoustic compositions by Moritz Siller and Charlotte Hillebrand), which were then played through the speakers. All you had to do was move the corresponding sliders on the mixing console up and down. The children and other spectators then improvised on the traditional instruments to this experimental soundscape: sounds and noises merged together. The Tourist Office Algund supported this performance.

The Algund Children's Workshop offers creative activities for children with a focus on modern art every second Saturday and during the last week of August.
