Algund, short:
Nature-loving gourmets feel right at home in Algund. This “garden village” in the Merano region of South Tyrol offers a unique alpine-Mediterranean landscape stretching from 300 to 2,600 metres above sea level. Seven charming hamlets invite visitors to explore around 160 kilometres of hiking trails – including the famous *Algund Waalweg* and the *Merano High Mountain Trail* in the Texel Group Nature Park – as well as a wide range of cycling routes at different altitudes. To recharge body and mind, Algund offers plenty of quiet spots, forest bathing in the peaceful atmosphere of its woodlands, mindfulness exercises, guided herb walks and 50 Kneipp facilities. Whether in a traditional inn or a Michelin-starred restaurant, guests can always enjoy natural, regional cuisine prepared with fresh, high-quality products from Algund. The garden village of Algund is the perfect destination for a health-oriented outdoor holiday, culinary delights, relaxation, and family-friendly experiences alike.
