Nature you can feel – discover the Kneipp basin and barefoot path
The heart of the new facility is a five-meter-long water-treading basin filled with fresh Waal water. Those who try the proven Kneipp method can practice the “stork walk” and recharge their energy. Right afterward, a varied five-meter-long barefoot trail with different natural materials – from stone and round wood to sand, forest soil, and grass – invites visitors to walk mindfully.
A real gem is the large wooden barrel filled with fresh drinking water, inspired by Algund’s coat of arms, which can be used for refreshing arm or face baths. Four comfortable wooden loungers complete the offer and provide a peaceful place for rest and regeneration in the middle of nature.
A unique nature experience in the spirit of Kneipp
With this new Kneipp station, the nature experience around the popular Algund Waalweg becomes even more enriching, inviting both guests and locals to enjoy
gentle health and relaxation. As part of the same project, a new Kneipp feature has also been added at the
drinking fountain near Traterhof on Leitenweg – keeping the offer up to date and easily accessible.
Tip: The Kneipp station is ideal for a short break during a hike or as a mindful moment of calm in everyday life – just as
Sebastian Kneipp intended.
