Healthy nutrition strengthens body, mind and soul - which form a unity according to Kneipp. What we eat, how we prepare it and the environment in which we enjoy our meals are crucial. Equally fundamental are regionality and seasonality, concepts that are currently booming. In South Tyrol, fruit and vegetable growing is a tradition and the "Healthy in Algund" stations take us to numerous organic farms and shops.

Enjoy local fruit and vegetables!
The healthiest way to eat is to only eat what grows in your region according to the season. It is freshly harvested and will be on your plate within a short period of time, thus providing you with the most vitamins and nutrients. Take advantage of the rich variety from your region and make use of it, especially in winter. Ask your local vegetable farmer about the range - the selection is bigger than you might think!

Eat balanced!
Sebastian Kneipp said: "Order lies in measure. Every too much and every too little causes illness instead of health." Priest Kneipp did not forbid anything, instead he recommended a little bit of everything and therefore the most important nutritional tip is: Eat as varied as possible. If you do this, your body will be supplied with plenty of important vitamins and minerals. Trying out new types of fruit and vegetables from time to time is an advantage!
