Algund Crowns the Most Beautiful Natural Gardens 2025
From blossoms to roots: 14 green heroes in the spotlight
For the second time, Algund has transformed into a stage for nature-friendly gardening. Fourteen dedicated participants – from traditional farms to innovative private gardens – faced the scrutiny of a jury of garden and landscape experts, alongside local representatives. Two categories were judged: “Garden and Park Landscapes” and “Farm and Utility Gardens”.
“Each garden is a small masterpiece of nature,” enthuses Barbara Meraner, PR and Sustainability Manager at the Algund Tourist Office. “What we see here are not just beautiful gardens, but living stories of people who have understood: sustainability begins right on your doorstep!”
A Success Story: From Algund to Laimburg
A special reason to celebrate: last year’s winners, Maratscher Hotel and D.A. Genussgarten Daniele and Anna, have gone one step further and this year received the coveted “Nature in the Garden” plaque from Laimburg in cooperation with the Province. A strong sign that Algund’s natural gardens are setting standards beyond the local area!

At the festive award ceremony, not only certificates and prizes will be handed out – it’s also a gathering of Algund’s gardening community to celebrate what’s possible when people and nature work hand in hand.
