We give you the best (secret) tips...
We call them must-do's - all those activities that you should definitely have done during your time in Algund. And these are quite a few. Here you will find our TOP 5 activities.

Algunder Waalweg Trail
An excursion for the whole family
The Algunder Waalweg, an irrigation channel path, leads almost level from Töll to Gratsch above Algund. Doesn't sound spectacular, but it is very picturesque and, above all, enjoyable. A hike on the southern hillside of Algund, between vines and mixed forests, is thus definitely worthwhile.

Via Claudia Augusta
Cycling along the old Roman road
A section of the Via Claudia Augusta, which has 2,000 years of history behind it, runs from the Reschenpass to Algund and then further south, always along the Etsch river. A true paradise for cyclists, culture enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Aschbach - Vigljoch - Lana
A circular hike for mountain freaks
The tour starts at Algund Nördersberg, more precisely in Aschbach. A district that can be reached by a new cable car from Rabland. Once at the top, the route continues to the Naturnser Alm hut and up to the Vigljoch. From there it goes down to Lana and back to Algund.

Rafting, Canyoning & Co.
An adrenaline kick for water enthusiasts
Whether rafting, canyoning, hydrospeed, kayaking or canoeing: the companies "Acquaterra Excursions" and "Südtirol Rafting Expeditions" offer you and your kids a real holiday highlight in Algund with various water activities.

Vellauer Felsenweg Trail
Only recommended for hikers who do not get vertigo
The trail begins in Vellau. You can get here either by car or by bus - or by chairlift. Then continue to the Muthöfe farmsteads. After the first ascent on a comfortable forest and meadow path, the trail leads over very exposed terrain.

Magnificent plants line the paths
It’s worth taking a second glance when hiking in Algund and the surrounding area. You can’t help noticing the fabulous variety of plants blossoming at the edge of the paths. Orchards and vineyards extend to the foot of the mountains; palm trees grow next to conifers and cultivated gardens flow into alpine flower meadows. You can even admire exotic plants – taking a walk along the Tappeinerweg is the best way to see them!

Three levels, hundreds of paths
South Tyrol is hiking country – and Algund is a very special part of it. Here, hiking is neither limited exclusively to leisurely walks nor mountain climbing, but rather everything in between. Strolling valley hikers will enjoy our region just as much as adrenalin-seeking alpinists who climb from peak to peak at an altitude of 3,000 metres. From lowlands to highlands, meadows, forests or mountains: We have something to suit all hikers.
