Bouldering is climbing without a climbing rope and harness on boulders, rock faces or artificial climbing walls. Particularly in recent years, this sport, which has been a separate discipline of sport climbing since the 1970s, has enjoyed increasing popularity , especially among the younger generation. Algund is home to one of the largest outdoor bouldering areas in South Tyrol.
