A special mountain experience with one of the best-known South Tyrolean mountain guides and extreme mountaineers Simon Gietl.
Get out and about with the famous extreme mountaineer, Simon Gietl, and in the process enjoy the impressive alpine landscape, receive tips from a mountain professional, ask questions and listen to tales of exciting experiences! An experience that you won’t forget in a hurry.
Face to face with the triumvirate of King Ortler, Zebru and Königsspitze
Rosimböden (2450 m)
We take the coach through the multi-faceted, interesting Vinschgau Valley, to Sulden, which, situated at the foot of King Ortler, is the starting point of our hike (1900 m). Passing through the Rosimtal valley, to begin with we climb through shady woodland up to the “Rastle” (2255 m) and then continue over the somewhat steeper terrain, although on a well-maintained winding track, up to the Rosimböden (2450 m). The view of the triumvirate opposite, the Ortler (3905 m), the highest summit in the Eastern Alps, the Königsspitze and the Zebru, is hugely impressive. Via the “Kanzel” (2348 m) we descend to the Kanzel mountain inn, where we stop for refreshments and continue to enjoy the wonderful view. After a good rest, the descent leads through the Zaytal Valley down to Sulden, where the bus home awaits.
